If you're anything like me, you've probably spent countless hours (and dollars!) chasing after that elusive “glass skin” complexion. We've all been there, staring at our reflection and wishing away those fine lines, dark spots, or uneven texture. ‘Cause let’s be real – most of us have this love-hate relationship with our skin.

So, why is consistent skincare so important, especially as we grow older? 

  • Our skin cells are constantly renewing themselves. But as we age, this process slows down which leads to uneven texture, fine lines, and dullness. A consistent routine gently encourages those cells to keep working! 
  • Did you know that our skin is our body’s first line of defense against pollution, UV rays, and even the blue light from our devices? It’s important to be consistent with your skincare routine as this helps strengthen the natural barrier of our skin. 
  • Each of us have different skin issues. Whether it’s acne scars or hyperpigmentation, there’s a skincare solution that will target those problems.     2. Use personalized treatment. This is where you target your specific concerns. A vitamin C serum for brightening, a retinol cream for wrinkles, a microneedling treatment to improve skin tone…you know the drill! 
    3. Moisturizing is important, too! And yes, contrary to popular beliefs, you still need to moisturize oily skin as this actually prevents the skin from producing more oil. Your skin actually lacks moisture that’s why it’s producing more oil than usual to help it stay healthy. 
    4. Lastly, protect your skin from sun damage. Don’t forget your SPF if you’re doing your skincare routine in the morning. Sunscreen is non-negotiable, even on a cloudy day! Skip this step if you’re working on your skincare routine in the evening. It’s unnecessary and can lead to pore blockages.
